Lefties Announce signing of Heinrich and Freed

Introducing The 2017 Port Angeles Lefties

Lefties Welcome Infielders Brandon Heinrich and Seth Freed  

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—January 17, 2017—Port Angeles, WA—The Port Angeles Lefties continue their roster announcements with short stop/third baseman Brandon Heinrich and infielder Seth Freed. Check out their snapshots below and start following their progress in collegiate spring ball.

 

BRANDON HEINRICH

Heinrich joins the Lefties from California State University – Bakersfield, where he is the starting short stop for Coach Bob Macaluso. This 6’1” transplant from Laguna Niguel, California bats and throws right and is 195 lbs. Heinrich played in all 39 games for Saddleback College as a sophomore, where he hit .304 with 25 RBI’s and 29 runs scored. The team won the Orange Empire Conference for the first time since 1998. As a freshman, he started 34 of 35 games for the University of Rochester, an NCAA Division III program. His walk-up song is So High by Wiz Khalifa.

SETH FREED

Freed joins the Lefties from Ball State University, where he is a versatile infielder for Coach Rich Maloney. He previously played infield for Seminole State College, here he posted a .385 batting average, two home runs, 24 RBIs and seven stolen bases. This 6’1” Bay City, MI native bats left and throws right and weighs in at 185 lbs. His hobbies are basketball, Cube and cornhole, and his walk-up song is Good Life by Kanye West.
